CASTLE UPDATES THEIR IYONIX PC SOFTWARE DATABASE

Castle Technology Ltd are pleased to announce an extensive update to their IYONIX pc software database. This database lists all of the software that is known to be 32-bit and IYONIX pc compatible and is updated directly by third party software developers.

The on-screen menus can be used to change the View (Concise or Full descriptions), Sort by Publisher or Software title, and select which Categories are displayed. For example, setting the Showing menu to 'databases' will show just the database related programs.

A new category has also been added for RISC OS modules - this is intended for significant modules which are used by several applications, rather than modules that are specific just to a single program.

Some major applications that have recently been upgraded for the IYONIX pc include:

Artworks - RISC OS's popular vector drawing package
PhotoDesk - Photo and bit-map manipulation package
Datapower - Relational database program
Prophet - Business accounting package
Caller Display - Displays caller's number and logs telephone call details
Teletext+ - Teletext viewer suitable for most teletext cards

A major new feature enables additional software developers to add details of their own software very easily by clicking on the New Account button and entering their contact details. They can immediately add software titles to the database and the new entries will be made public as soon as the new account has been approved by Castle. Once the account has been approved additional entries will appear as soon as they are entered.
